- How does the shipping quote tool work?
- Describe your shipment in a sentence or two: where it ships from and to, with postal codes, and the size and weight of each box or pallet. We read the details from your description, ask carriers for live rates, and show five options sorted by price, plus the fastest one.
- Which carriers are included?
- Rates come from the carriers available for your route on GoorooShip, such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, Purolator and Canpar for parcels, and LTL freight carriers for pallets. Which carriers appear depends on the shipment.
- Is the quoted price what I will pay?
- The rates are live public quotes, shown for reference. The price is confirmed when you book in your GoorooShip account, and duties and taxes are extra.
- Can I get a quote for a pallet or an international shipment?
- Yes. Say the shipment is on a pallet to get LTL freight rates, or give an international destination for international rates. A single package over 150 lb (68 kg) needs a pallet quote.
- What happens to my description?
- A third-party AI service reads it to pick out the addresses and package details, and GoorooShip's quote system uses those details to get rates. This processing may happen outside Canada. We don't store your description or your quote. Details are in our privacy policy.
